What information does the band need to provide a quotation?
To provide an accurate quotation we like to have the following :
The date of your event.
The location of the venue.
Approximate timings.
Any special requirements you may have (1st Dance etc.)
All information provided will be treated in confidence.
How do I book the band?
Once you have decided to book the band a contract will be prepared and two copies sent to you. You would then sign and return one copy of the contract in the SAE provided and make your deposit (typically 20% of our fee) via bank transfer, for which a receipt will be given. The remaining balance of our fee would then be payable on the day of your event.
If you would like to view a copy of our contract terms and conditions before deciding whether to proceed with your booking, we would be very happy to provide you with a copy.
How much time does the band need to set-up, sound check, & de-rig?
It takes around one hour to complete our set up, though this is dependent on accessibility to our stage area and the nature of the event. A full band sound check usually takes around 5 minutes. Our de-rig time is around 45 minutes.
Does the band provide a disco?
Yes! If you are not intending to hire a DJ to work alongside the band, also included in our fee is the use of our PA & lighting rig throughout your event when we are not performing. We do not provide a DJ service as such, but have disco playlists packed full with the biggest hits from the '60's to the present day - guaranteed to get your guests dancing. We are very happy to tailor our playlists to suit your requirements. If you would like us to play your own music, many of our clients provide their own playlists on an iPod, laptop etc, which we connect to our mixing desk. All you need do is relax and enjoy the music!
Do I need to provide the band with food and drinks?
We are always very grateful when refreshments are provided, but we would not expect you to provide them for us. For further information, or if you have any other questions, please contact us via email at: [email protected]
How long does the band play for?
We typically perform 2 x 1 hour sets but will perform 3 x 40 minute sets if requested.
How much room does the band need?
We can fit into a space 5 metres wide (16ft) x 3 metres (10ft) deep, though we prefer a larger area if available. We can also fit into corner spaces provided the area is a minimum of 5 metres wide and 3 metres deep at its centre-point. We do not need an elevated stage and often perform 'on-the-floor'.
For an 8-piece band, you might be surprised at the spaces we can fit into!
Does the band hold public liability insurance?
We are fully indemnified for damage, loss, or injury to a value of £5,000,000. A copy of our policy may be viewed upon request.
Does the band hold PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) certification?
All of our electrical equipment is maintained and tested in accordance to legislation governed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). A copy of our current PAT Certificate of Conformity may be viewed upon request.
